Basic Rescuer CPR Level C

4 Hours Re-certification

Purpose:

To certify participants about adult, child and infant CPR and choking emergencies. In order to assist in emergency situations until EMS/911 (Emergency Medical Services) arrive on the scene.

 

Objective:

To have participant become knowledgeable in the EMS/911 system, know how to recognize choking emergencies, heart attacks, strokes, angina and sudden cardiac arrests and how to manage the scene until EMS/911 arrive.

 

Prerequisites:

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Certifications:

Each participant will receive a Red Cross wallet certification. Certification is good for 3 years as determined by medical control, legislation or professional designation. Recertification is recommended annually.

 

Minimum Participants:

We follow Health Canada and the applicable WSIB requirements for instructor per participant ratio.
