WHMIS Awareness Training

2 Hour New Certification

Purpose:

To educate workers on the proper safe handling, use, storage and disposal of hazardous materials to ensure their safety is maximized.

 

Objectives:

To have workers follow the proper safe handling and storage of chemicals and other controlled substances.

 

Audience:

There is a requirement for ALL personnel who may come into contact with a controlled substance to receive WHMIS training. This includes office staff, contractors and part-time workers.

 

Prerequisites:

There are no prerequisites for this course.

 

Outline:

 

This program focuses on the safe handling, use and storage of controlled products and emphasizes worker responsibilities, proper labeling, protecting against hazards and the proper use of MSDS sheets.
